Wow, Infinity War is already breaking records around the world. More so than fellow Marvel epic Black Panther.

One of them being pre-release ticket sales. Infinity War has so-far made up to three times more than Black Panther did in the same period. Which, for reference, is outta this world, bro!

According to AMC, Infinity War‘s advance ticket sales are 257.6 per cent ahead of those made by Black Panther, 72 hours after tickets went up for sale.

They were also 751.5 per cent ahead of Captain America: Civil War and 1,106.5 per cent ahead of the last full Avengers line-up, Age of Ultron.

Directed by the Russo Brothers, the first part of the film is due to be released next month with the second half coming in May 2019.

Pretty much every single superhero ever featured in the MCU will appear in Infinity War including Iron Man, Captain America, Doctor Strange, Black Widow, Black Panther, the Guardians of the Galaxy and so the list continues.

Fan favourites including Loki, The Collector and Pepper Potts will also feature and so there really should be something there for every fan.

Not only that, but the sheer magnitude of the movie means it may be one of the biggest ever in history when it comes to the box office.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kevin Feige, the man with the best job in the world aka President of Marvel Studios, spoke about the 10-year-long journey to Infinity War.

Revealing that everything will change after these films, he said:

With Infinity War, it’s coming to a climax, coming to a conclusion of seeds with all the MacGuffins in various movies, and with Untitled Avengers a year later, bringing what will be that first 22 movie arc to a finality.

That doesn’t mean there are no movies after that. Of course not. It means the movies after that will be changed.

He added:

Again, it goes to the comics. Every great event in the 50 plus years of publishing history would have an impact on the individual books going forward after that.

You start to think differently about how the characters are interacting, what character’s stories are coming to a close, and what character’s stories are only just beginning. Those stories will continue.

Avengers: Infinity War will hit UK cinemas on April 26 and US theatres on April 27.
