A huge blizzard sweeping the U.S has brought New York and Washington DC to a complete and utter standstill, coating the entire East Coast in snow.

A staggering 85 million people are believed to be affected by Storm Jonas, which has left up to 40 inches of snow in some areas.

Most travel in and around New York has been banned as officials believe this could be one of the city’s worst ever blizzards.

There have been at least 19 deaths, mostly from traffic accidents and 11 states have declared emergencies.

However, despite the dangerous side of this brutal storm, some people (and animals) still found time to enjoy the snowfall.

Here’s just some of the best images and videos that just show how ridiculously big this blizzard really is…oh, and how much we love the white stuff of course.
