Over 10,000 documents captured from the so-called Islamic State reveal numerous plans for terror attacks across Europe and the rest of the world.

The documents were seized along with a huge amount of digital data when the extremist group were forced out of Manbij in northern Syria back in August, reports Sky News.

As British security services continue to analyse the documents, one of Britain’s top commanders in Syria, Major General Rupert Jones, refused to comment on the exact specifications of the groups planned attacks.

He did, however, explain that Britain needs to do more to ‘deal with Daesh’.

Major General Jones added:

External operations have been getting orchestrated to a very significant degree from within the caliphate, critically from within Raqqa and from within Manbij.

They were key external operations hubs. There is a huge amount of intelligence, documentation, electronic material that has been exploited there that points very directly against all sorts of nations around the world.

The news comes as U.S. and Kurdish Peshmerga troops continue in the battle to liberate the ISIS stronghold of Mosul.

If the troops are able to take Mosul back from the terror group then there will be a ‘labyrinth of intelligence’ according to Major General Jones.

Just last week French police arrested numerous terror suspects who had been plotting pre-Christmas attacks in the country at locations including Disneyland Paris.

Today it was also revealed that anti-terror police will be working on the streets of London both in uniform and in plain clothes in order to prevent, counter, or stop any potential terror attacks in the capital.
