Yesterday Potter fans the world over rejoiced at the news that they were getting an eighth Harry Potter book. Well today J.K. Rowling kind of took the magical wind out of their sails.
Apparently the media got a little bit excited about the ‘new book’ and that led to the online equivalent of a sugar rush as fans reacted to the news.
Some people thought the new book would be a full novel – for the record it’s not, it’s just the script.
Eventually J.K. Rowling set the record straight.
Then it was randomly decided that the book was a prequel.
Forcing Rowling to correct people, again…
Eventually a fan decided to help…
Now we’ve got that sorted we can get back to asking her the big questions, like, ‘Can Slytherin’s and Hufflepuff’s be friends?’ and, ‘What’s really the best wand length?’.
More of a concept than a journalist, Tom Percival was forged in the bowels of Salford University from which he emerged grasping a Masters in journalism.
Since then his rise has been described by himself as ‘meteoric’ rising to the esteemed rank of Social Editor at UNILAD as well as working at the BBC, Manchester Evening News, and ITV.
He credits his success to three core techniques, name repetition, personality mirroring, and never breaking off a handshake.
