James Corden Gives Powerful Speech About The London Terror Attack

Even though he’s thousands of miles away, James Corden sent out a powerful, heartfelt message on The Late Late Show last night after the London attack. 

The comedian paid tribute after the terrorist attack in Westminster yesterday, which claimed the lives of four people, including the attacker.

The London born presenter commended London for standing strong and united amidst the horror of Wednesday’s events.

He said:

I know a lot of people from Britain watch this show, as a lot of people from Britain work on this show. And of course, our thoughts go out to everyone who’s been affected by this.

Watching the news today, I felt a really long, long way from home.

The actor, who is originally from the London Borough of Hillingdon, continued to offer his words of love and support for those affected by the hideous act of terror.

He added:

When something like that happens in your hometown, you don’t have a feeling of being glad that you’re so far away, what you feel is that you wish you could be there with loved ones to stand alongside them.

London is a diverse, proud and brilliant city, and one thing is for sure… If this act of terrorism was supposed to divide the people of London, I know for a fact that all something like this does is bring them closer together as one.

Tonight, we send our heartfelt thoughts to everybody in Britain. Stay safe.

As details emerged of the appalling incident which took place on Westminster Bridge and outside Parliament yesterday afternoon, other celebrities also tweeted their messages of condolences and solidarity.

Although this horrendous incident shook the very heart of London, it’s important that the UK stands together to show it won’t be shaken by terrorism.

Our thoughts go out to anyone affected by the attack and to the families of the victims who sadly lost their lives.
