Jeremy Clarkson has revealed his favourite Top Gear moment – and not only is it nothing to do with cars, it’s also a bit creepy.

During a Facebook question and answer session, the former presenter admitted that his most treasured memory from his 27 year stint on the show wasn’t destroying an ‘indestructible’ Toyota pickup or even travelling the world –  but when Cameron Diaz hugged him.

Diaz appeared on the show alongside Tom Cruise back in 2010. During the episode, the pair competed head-to-head in the ‘Star In A Reasonably Priced Car’ segment, reports The Mirror.

On finding out how well she’d done, Diaz jumped up and threw her arms around Clarkson – obviously leaving quite an impression.

The Beeb axed Clarkson from the show last year after the now infamous ‘fracas’ with producer Oisin Tymon.

However, rumours have circulated that Clarkson has somehow been behind the ‘difficulties’ experienced by Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc as they attempt a tricky reboot.

In the Q&A Clarkson also put paid to the rumours he is behind the ‘sabotage’ revealing he actually gets paid if the series succeeds:

What’s very entertaining is that Chris Evans is having a very hard time at the moment as he attempts to put Top Gear back together again.

It’s been suggested that I’m behind it, that I’m trying to scupper him.

But I discovered the other day that every time it gets recommissioned I get paid it’s a curious bit of BBC contract but I wish them all the very best.

The man’s like a bloody cat – he always seems to land on his feet…
