Jeremy Corbyn has achieved a lot in the past few weeks: An unexpected change in the political landscape of Britain, a newfound sense of hope in the previously disenfranchised youth and a red-faced Tory party.

All the while he’s managed to dodge the media corporation naysayers. It’s hardly surprising coming from a man who has dedicated his life to political peacekeeping and displayed an unwavering talent for oration.

But it seems Jez Corbyn‘s skill set doesn’t stop there. Apparently, according to The Internet, the leader of the Labour party also has a talent for siring offspring with an uncanny resemblance to Frodo Baggins, a much-loved fictional hobbit.

A hawk-eyed Twitter user with a potentially over-active imagination, Hannah Parkinson, has spotted that Tommy Corbyn, the son of Jeremy Corbyn and heir to his liberal throne, looks a little like Hollywood’s own Elijah Wood.

Having doubts? Just watch this face-swap:

Now, when it comes to doppelgangers, I usually switch to my default setting of cynical.

But you have to admit, the two men do not look dissimilar.

The 36-year-old youthful actor rose to prominence for his portrayal of Frodo Baggins in the film remake of J R R Tolkein’s The Lord of the Rings, and won many fans for his expressive face and startlingly blue eyes.

Apparently Elijah isn’t alone. Twitter has been quick to compliment Tommy Corbyn:

Others pointed out Corbyn Junior, who is a politically active York University graduate and a staunch supporter of his father’s general election campaign, also bears more than a passing resemblance to Daniel Radcliffe, of Harry Potter franchise fame.

Some even suggested Tommy looked rather like the lovechild of Justin Timberlake.

Regardless, Tommy Corbyn’s face is a face for the many, not the few.
