Jim Carrey Posts Brutal New Portrait Of Donald Trump As The Joker

Jim Carey posts brutal artwork of TrumpPA

Not only has Jim Carrey got an impressive knack for comic acting, it turns out he is also rather nifty with a set of drawing pens.

Despite the silliness which built Carrey’s name, his artwork – which has been prolific in recent months – is very political; often taking heated issue with US government policy.

The 56-year-old Ace Ventura: Pet Detective actor shares his pictures with his fans on Twitter, and it is clear one of his biggest points of contention is the politics of President Donald Trump.

Carrey is certainly not shy about his distaste for President Trump, often depicting him in a deeply unflattering, often grotesque manner to get his point across.

In one picture he sketched The Donald as The Wicked Witch of The West, as a comment on his relationship with Russia, while another showed his bathing in sewage.

Another – entitled ‘Fifty Shades of Decay’ – showed him having sex with a woman who has almost yanked his wig clean off.

One picture showed a screaming, partially topless Trump eating ice cream. Carrey tweeted the grotesque image to the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery, with the following caption:

Dear Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery @NPG, I know it’s early but I’d like to submit this as the official portrait of our 45th President, Donald J. Trump. It’s called, ‘You Scream. I Scream. Will We Ever Stop Screaming?’

Carrey’s latest work is another savage sketch of President Trump; depicting him with the full lurid face paint of DC Comics’ most notorious villain: The Joker.

As Trump/The Joker extends his arm to shake an anonymous hand, the other one is placed behind his back with his fingers crossed; implying some sort of deceit.

The writing within the picture reads as follows:

Slice of apple pie $5. Ticket to a baseball game $50. A diplomatic agreement with Trump’s America… worthless.

By referencing typical American tropes such as baseball and apple pie, it appears Carrey is asserting Trump has damaged America’s value both as a nation and as a culture.

Plenty of Carrey’s fans liked the piece, which he shared with the caption ‘Scam-a-gram’ and a winking, pointy nosed face.

One person observed:

Trump is a bully and a con man! How did so many Americans buy into this psychopath? Great job Jim Carrey I love your artwork!

Another applauded:

Brilliant Jim, I hope these make you feel as good as they do me and many others.

However, other fans were not so sure; implying Carrey’s brand of satire was somewhat immature.

One person snapped:

What grade are you in?

Another sighed:

C’mon dude, you don’t study what’s going on. Go back to being funny we love you like that.

This agreement was sub par and they were caught not complying. Just like they have been doing for many many years.

What do you think? Will you be buying a large-scale print of Carrey’s latest artwork for your home?
