As the Obama-Biden ‘Special Relationship’ drew to an end earlier this year, the world mourned.
But even the most stern Republican heart was melted as the majestic political pair were immortalised in a series of heart-warming memes, with Twitter giving them the fan-fiction treatment.
Their bromance has been splashed across the Internet – and Joe Biden, the lovable sidekick, thinks it’s hilarious according to his daughter, Ashley.
Speaking to Moneyish, Ashley recalled how Biden ‘sat there for an hour and laughed’ when she first introduced him to the memes.
Biden embraced his newfound status as a political viral sensation.
In case you missed it, here are some of the best:
Obama: "Joe, why are you still holding my hand?"
Biden: "I wanna freak Mike Pence out"

Moneyish learned that Biden even has a favourite meme.
It’s an image of him and Obama hugging, above a caption celebrating their eight years of partnership.
Here they are, wives alongside them, in all their glory:
"See? Doesn't this feel right?"
"Joe I'm not leaving my wife for you."
"You said we'd be together forev-"
"8 years. I said 8 years." pic.twitter.com/C2PoAXCD00— Ol' QWERTY Bastard (@TheDiLLon1) October 17, 2016
It’s a picture of friendship, love, affection and respect – so it makes sense that this would be Biden’s favourite.
We can all but hope to find a friend and colleague in life that looks at us the way Biden looks at Obama.
