Remember Joel Burger and Ashley King, the couple who were so obsessed with Burger King that the fast food chain agreed to pay for their wedding?
Well they have finally tied the knot, and the big day was indeed bankrolled by Burger King, with the groom and his groomsmen wearing Burger King t-shirts under their suits and Burger King hats being worn by all for the photos. Ashley was spared wearing one when she walked down the isle however.
The couple, from Illinois, have known each other since fifth grade and have used the Burger King joke many times, so much so that when they announced their engagement, it was done under a Burger King sign, and it quickly went viral on social media, with the fast food chain then getting in contact and offering to pay for their wedding.
There were even Burger King cufflinks and hamburger socks, with $10 Burger King gift cards for each guest.
Despite Ashley now taking her husband’s last name and becoming Mrs Burger, the couple claimed it would ‘always be Burger King’.
