British comedian John Oliver has never been afraid of kicking out at FIFA and he took aim at the football governing body once again on the latest episode of ‘Last Week Tonight’.
This time, Oliver took aim at the handshake between FIFA head honcho Sepp Blatter and Russian President Vladimir Putin at Saturday’s World Cup draw, expressing his surprise that the meeting didn’t “create a vortex of concentrated evil, that sucked all of humanity into a gaping moor of eternal darkness”.
The presenter also addresses the incredible lengths FIFA vice-president Jeffrey Webb went to in order to secure bail, as well as FIFA’s current issues with their sponsors in the face of corruption charges.
Oliver even manages to stick the boot in on McDonald’s for good measure – we’re guessing he didn’t particularly care for their pound saver menu.
