Move over Tom Hardy, there’s a new storyteller in town, because Queens Of The Stone Age’s Josh Homme is all set to present CBeebie’s Bedtime Stories.
The American rocker, and father-of-three, will read the story ‘Zog’ by The Gruffalo author, Julia Donaldson.
Zog is the tale of an accident-prone student dragon and the princess who would rather be a doctor.
And it doesn’t just stop there, he’s going to feature on a further two episodes later on, which he has already recorded for CBeebies.
Josh first revealed he’d be reading on Bedtime Stories in an interview with NME telling the music magazine he’d recorded his tale the day before the band’s surprise appearance at Reading Festival.
And I think it’s safe to say the news went down well…
The singer and guitarist joins an already impressive list of celebrities who’ve sat and read tales in ‘Story Corner’.
Previous guests include Jessica Ennis-Hill, Emilia Fox, Damian Lewis, David Tennant, Tim Peake, Warwick Davis, James McAvoy and David Hasselhoff and Hollywood actor, Chris Evans.
Most popular though has been British actor Tom Hardy, with many tuning in, children or no children.
CBeebies’ Bedtime Stories airs at 6.50pm every day – Josh Homme’s reading will be broadcast on Friday October 6.
