Pixar/GettyEveryone’s favourite toys are returning to the big screen this summer for Toy Story 4, and it seems like there’s a few new characters to go along with it.
We’ve already been introduced to new toys Forky, Ducky and Bunny, the latter of whom seems to be bragging about his run-in with a Cabbage Patch Doll, where he threatened to knock the the dimples of the doll’s face.
However, there’s one character who fans have been eager to find out more about, and that is whichever toy is voiced by Neo and John Wick himself – Keanu Reeves.

The movie’s official, brief synopsis reads:
Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie.
But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy. Directed by Josh Cooley (“Riley’s First Date?”) and produced by Jonas Rivera (“Inside Out,” “Up”) and Mark Nielsen (associate producer “Inside Out”).
Now, however, a few more details surrounding Reeves’ character have been unveiled.
The 54-year-old is reportedly playing a character called Duke Kaboom, who comes from a place where toys are sent once they’ve been discontinued (cue cameos from some retro toys, hello nostalgia).
According to the Observer, Bo Peep needs help retrieving her stolen sheep, so enlists Duke Kaboom. Does that make him the John Wick of toys? Did this film just get way more exciting?

Don’t let the new characters fool you though, both Tom Hanks and Tim Allen are returning to the series as Woody and Buzz respectively, along with all your favourites; Joan Cusack as Jessie, Wallace Shawn as Rex, and of course Pixar’s lucky charm John Ratzenberger returns as Hamm the piggy bank.
Meanwhile, the inimitable Randy Newman is also said to have penned another original song for the film, called Lonesome Cowboy, which already sounds like it’s going to be an emotional one.
In fact, Tom Hanks admitted he struggled to record the ending of the film, and Tim Allen also said he had difficulty containing his emotions while recording the final scenes.
Not sure if I’m ready for this.
