Kelly Osbourne has taken action to show solidarity with the world’s LGBT community following the homophobic massacre of at least 50 people in Orlando.

The tribute was a pretty simple tattoo on her head, and it neatly sums up Kelly’s attitude towards the world.

As reported by Digital Spy, alongside the image Kelly wrote:

Solidarity: “Noun. Unity of feeling of individuals with a common interest or purpose.” Individually, we have rights and unique gifts. Together, we have strength and powerful harmony.

I have wanted to get this tattoo for a long time. The tragedy in Orlando devastated me and reminded me that every moment of our lives is precious. Every human is precious. Love hard. Live gracefully, authentically and with conviction, respect, purpose and compassion.

Together we achieve what is impossible to those who stand alone. Those of us who embrace and respect freedom stand together, progress together, celebrate together and grieve together. You are not alone.

Now, while it is mighty nice of Osbourne – who has always been an advocate of the LGBT community – to publicly condemn the attacks, the act has left many people questioning what good her ink actually does.

One response from ‘pretendinggirl’ read:

Donate $ or blood. How does this help, except to draw attention to you. I guess your trying to be more then just a famous persons daughter.

Attention seekers will seek attention. You people are so fickle. None of you will give a fuck about Orlando in a month.

Cynical as it may seem, these guys do have a point.

It is all well and good a celebrity getting a tattoo that poses zero harm to their career, but what does it really achieve for the victims and their families?
