KFC have launched a pink burger in China, and it really is as odd as it sounds.

The ‘rose cheese chicken leg roasted burger’ as its been dubbed, features a pink bun, roasted chicken, cheese, mayonnaise, tomato, and lettuce.

The burger is being aimed at females, and apparently comes on the back of the fast food giant losing ground in the Chinese food market, with KFC having gone from dominating things to seeing their sales fall quarterly, with a 10% drop coming in the last quarter, and the chicken company deciding to act.

The company are the largest fast food chain in China, with 45,000 stores, yet are struggling to keep profits up.

This is because of stiff competition from the likes of Starbucks and McDonald’s, who have expanded to China and are eating into KFC’s market share – not to mention various health and safety scandals.

They have also launched Red Samurai Chicken burgers and black burgers, with this latest creation the strangest yet.

It seems people eating the burgers are finding it as strange as we are, with the colour being the least of people’s concerns, and the fact that it’s rose flavoured certainly causing contention.
