Yesterday (Sunday February 4) Kylie Jenner announced the birth of her baby girl after remaining quiet about her pregnancy.
For months rumours had been circulating that the 20-year-old was pregnant but the US reality television star never herself confirmed it.
She finally broke her silence last night posting on Instagram a message to her fans, writing that she had given birth on February 1.
Various members of the Kardashian and Jenner clans rushed to social media to react to the exciting news including Kylie’s older sister Khloe.
The 33-year-old is currently expecting her first child with NBA player boyfriend Tristan Thompson and posted a photo of the two sisters cradling their baby bumps on Instagram.
Khloe captioned it with a cute message that read:
Congratulations my sweet Kylie! What a magical ride it’s been! I’ll miss you bumping along with me.
Never in a million years did I think we would do this together but it’s been that much more special because of it.
God is so great!! He had his plan all along! I love you little mama. Love big mama.
In the announcement Kylie Jenner apologised for not announcing her pregnancy until the birth explaining she thought this would be the most stress-free option for her and the baby.
She wrote:
I’m sorry for keeping you in the dark through all the assumptions. I understand you’re used to me bringing you along on all my journeys.
My pregnancy was one I chose not to do in front of the world. I knew for myself I needed to prepare for this role of a lifetime in the most positive, stress free, and healthy way I knew how.
There was no gotcha moment, no big paid reveal I had planned. I knew my baby would feel every stress and every emotion so I chose to do it this way for my little life and our happiness.
The new-born baby girl is Kylie and rapper boyfriend Travis Scott’s first child together with the couple still undecided on the name.
In her announcement message the star also wrote about her ‘beautiful’ pregnancy experience:
Pregnancy has been the most beautiful, empowering, and life changing experience I’ve had in my entire life and I’m actually going to miss it.
I appreciate my friends and especially my family for helping me make this special moment as private as we could.
My beautiful and healthy baby girl arrived February 1 and I just couldn’t wait to share this blessing. I’ve never felt love and happiness like this I could burst! Thank you for understanding.
Kylie also shared an 11-minute-long sweet video titled To Our Daughter on YouTube that documented the past nine months.

The video states Kylie had her baby on February 1, 2018, weighing 8lbs 9oz with the final seconds showing the star in hospital with her daughter.
