Lamar Odom’s having a little trouble keeping up with the Kardashians.

If you remember last year, the ex-basketball player had a near-fatal overdose at a brothel in Nevada – he suffered memory loss and was unable to recall some pretty major things that went down with the Kardashian family – including Caitlyn Jenner’s transition.

In an upcoming episode of the reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim tells Caitlyn – formerly known as Bruce – that she had to explain who she was to the 36-year-old.

Kim says during the trailer for the show:

He saw something on the news about you, and he was a little confused, so I had to like explain it to him.

I was like, ‘Well, it’s Caitlyn now.’ And he was like, ‘What?’

That’s a pretty major thing to wake up to, to be fair.

But Caitlyn doesn’t seem too concerned that Lamar – who she had a good relationship with before his accident – doesn’t recognise her, and says she’s aware he’s struggling to process it all, The Daily Mail reports.

She says in the trailer: “I know Khloe tried to explain it to him a couple of times, but at that point I don’t think he was getting anything.”

Lamar only ended up meeting Caitlyn for the first time at Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 3 Fashion Week in February, which must have been a shock – but the two were seen hugging it out, so it looks like everything went smoothly.

As for Lamar’s memory, it’s still not that great.

Khloe recently spoke about Lamar on the Ellen DeGeneres Show earlier this year, saying: “His long term memory is great. His short term memory isn’t so good.”

Here’s to hoping his memory improves for him. Poor guy.
