Kim Kardashian has been held up at gunpoint in Paris by masked men, police have said.
Up to five men were masked and disguised as police officers, according to reports, with Kim’s spokesperson saying that Kardashian-West had been ‘badly shaken up’ but remained ‘physically unharmed.’
A spokesperson for the French Interior Ministry said Kardashian-West was locked in a bathroom while the men took two cell phones and jewellery worth millions of dollars, CNN reports.
Reports claim there were as many as five people involved in the robbery, which is said to have taken place in a luxury residence, not a hotel as earlier reports have suggested.
The 35-year-old reality TV star is currently in the French city attending Paris Fashion Week, with her mother Kris Jenner and her sister Kendall Jenner. It is not clear if Kardashian West’s family, including her two children, were present.
A Paris police official confirmed that there was a robbery involving Kardashian and that an investigation was underway.
Kanye West, who was performing at the Meadows Festival in New York on Sunday night, abruptly left his set after learning of the news.
He told the audience: “I’m sorry, family emergency I have to stop the show.”
Fans said the rapper dropped the mic then sprinted off the stage at CitiField.
Just earlier this week, Kim was also ambushed by prankster Vitalii Sediuk who tried to kiss her behind.
Sediuk, who has pranked celebrities like Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, and Will Smith, was immediately tackled by her bodyguard.
