Inspirational Kirsty Howard has passed away at 20-years-old, after being told by doctors that she would only survive for a few more weeks aged four.
She was admitted to hospital earlier this week, suffering from a kidney infection, and sadly passed away after a cardiac arrest.
Kirsty suffered from a heart condition, yet fund raised tirelessly and inspired everyone from The Queen to David Beckham during her short life.
Kirsty was born with her heart back to front, a condition that is so rare, there was not even a name for it.
Despite this, she managed to study childcare at college and set up her own charity, the Kirsty Club.
The club aims to keep improving Francis House Children’s Hospice.
She also won the Child of Courage Award at the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards in 2002 and the Helen Rollason Award for courage at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards in 2004.
Tributes have poured in for Kirsty, with her bravery inspiring many.
