Remember when having a flip phone was as much a part of your life as having a pocket full of Britney CDs or an arm full of rubber bracelets? Well Samsung remember, and they’re gonna do something about it.
Following in the footsteps of LG with their Wine Smart H410 LTE, Samsung are reportedly making a new smart flip phone. Snappily titled the SM-W2016, it will have two screens and the smooth flip action we all dreamt of back in the 2000s.
Back in the day, phones like the Morotola Razr and Sony’s V800 ruled the playground Serengeti, separating the haves from the have-nots. Unlike the phone’s of yesteryear though, the SM-W2016 will run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and have an octa-core 64-bit processor with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
According to SamMobile it’ll also sport a nifty 16MP camera on the rear and a 5MP front-facing camera for taking fuzzy MySpace style selfies.
What’s perhaps most important though, is the inclusion of a hard key-pad for those who prefer not misspelling every other word.
Be prepared for your mum to get one of these and instantly be cooler than you. Lame.
