Comedian Lee Nelson has been at it again – this time crashing a FIFA press conference in Zurich and throwing cash at Sepp Blatter.
It was Blatter’s first news conference since he confirmed he’d be stepping down as FIFA President and it didn’t get off to the best start for the big man (although it was very entertaining for the rest of us).
The prankster comedian, whose real name is Simon Brodkin, ran onto the stage and threw the money at Blatter, announcing that it was part of a fake North Korea bid for the 2026 World Cup.
FIFA officials eventually managed to clear up all the fake bank notes, although it caused a significant delay in proceedings.
By the way, the new FIFA President is set to be elected on February 26. We expect that conference will probably have slightly stricter security after this!
