GettyOscar-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio has delivered a strong message to Donald Trump after his decision to withdraw from the Paris Climate agreement.
Known for being a passionate environmentalist, Leo criticised the decision saying the planet had ‘suffered’.
The Paris Climate agreement commits America as well as 187 other countries to keep rising global temperatures ‘well below 2C’ above pre-industrial levels and ‘endeavour to limit’ them even more, to 1.5C.
GettyTrump said he’d chosen to withdraw because the deal – which ‘punished the US and would cost millions of American jobs’.
POTUS added:
I was elected to represent the citizens of Pittsburgh, not Paris.
Upon hearing the news, Leo tweeted:
