The stepbrother of renowned actor Leonardo DiCaprio is allegedly on the run from police after skipping a court appearance.
According to The Sun, the former actor Adam Farrar, who was the one who convinced the now Oscar-winning Leo to go into acting, failed to turn up to a court date for petty theft and police have issued a warrant for his arrest.
A source close to the family said:
Adam continues to run away from responsibilities and it’s going to land him in jail again.
He’s struggled before with drugs and although he makes promises to get clean, he gets caught up in something else.
[Leo] got fed up with Adam asking to borrow money and not paying it back.
In January, Farrar was arrested with his girlfriend Charity Moore for allegedly trying to steal goods worth less than £700.
Bail was set at $3,000 (£2,100) and he was due in court on February 18, but both Farrar and Moore skipped the date and have gone on the run.
As children, the two brothers lived together after Adam’s mum, Peggy, married Leo’s dad George.
Farrar once had a relatively successful career as an actor, starring in TV shows such as Galactica 1980, but as the work began to dry up he had a number of run-ins with the police and has struggled in the past with drugs.
More of a concept than a journalist, Tom Percival was forged in the bowels of Salford University from which he emerged grasping a Masters in journalism.
Since then his rise has been described by himself as ‘meteoric’ rising to the esteemed rank of Social Editor at UNILAD as well as working at the BBC, Manchester Evening News, and ITV.
He credits his success to three core techniques, name repetition, personality mirroring, and never breaking off a handshake.
