LFO singer Devin Lima has died at the age of 41 after a year long battle with cancer, a family member has confirmed.

Devin is the second member of the group to die, after Rich Cronin passed away following his battle with leukaemia. Brad Fischetti is the only surviving member.

The boy band were popular in the 90s, with their biggest hit being Summer Girls which rocketed to number 3 in the charts in 1999.

According to TMZ, Devin passed away earlier this morning (November 21).

The group initially disbanded after Rich’s tragic death in 2010, but Devin and Brad decided to move forward as a duo in 2017 and released new music last year with their single Perfect 10.

Talking to iHeartRadio about the meaning behind their new music, the duo described their decision to write a song that would be ‘appropriate’ for their current fan base.

They said:

A lot’s changed in the last 15 years. Life’s changed a lot, and we just want them to know that we think that they’re perfectly made, despite what the world tells us about what our worth is based on, what we have, how we look.

We just wanted our fans and our wives to know that we see how hard you’re working, and to us, you’re perfect 10s.

As reported by iHeartRadio, the band had planned to do a tour in the spring of 2018, which was to be named ‘Rich in Love’ in memory of their late band member.

Speaking on the radio station last year about their upcoming tour, the duo described their intentions for the tour.

They said:

We’re going to continue to tour. This is the first leg of what we call the ‘Rich in Love’ tour, and we hope that it eventually circles the country and also overseas also.

We hope it gets so big that we can actually afford to have Rich as a hologram on stage with us. That’s the idea. That’s the mission.

However, TMZ reports that LFO sadly had to cancel the tour after doctors found a football-sized tumour sitting on Devin’s adrenal gland.

The tumour was reportedly pushing against many organs, including his heart, and so doctors made the decision to remove it.

However, after surgery it was discovered that the tumour was malignant and that Devin had stage four cancer.
