It’s the most infamous feud of the millennium, and now Liam Gallagher has revealed the source of the animosity between him and Noel.
Speaking to Howard Stern, the 44-year-old Manc lad opened up about when he ‘pissed all over’ Noel’s ‘holy grail’ (a brand new sound system) when he was 15-years-old.
Admitting that he thinks Noel has held a ‘grudge’ since then, Liam had little remorse, hilariously saying ‘when you gotta go, you gotta go mate. I ain’t pissing in my Paddington Bear pyjamas for no one’.
Speaking on the Howard Stern Radio Show, Liam said:
We shared a bedroom and he had bought this new sound system and I’d been out drinking, I was about 15 and I’d probably had a few too many sherrys. I’d come in and I’d had a spliff as well, and my fucking room was spinning and I’d got up out of the bed and I couldn’t find the light switch, and I thought ‘fuck it I’m just gonna have to go man’.
So I just whipped it out, pissed all over his fucking new sound system. He was like ‘what the fuck are you doing’, and I was like ‘just having a piss innit’. He said ‘Is that my fucking new fucking stereo’, I was like that ‘It’s alright it’ll fucking dry won’t it?’.
And that was it, I think he holds a grudge from that, and that was a long time ago
When Howard asked him if he ever apologised to Noel, Liam bluntly said ‘Listen mate, it was either the sound system of your fucking head. And I know he sleeps with his mouth open, so I said you take it or fucking leave it my son’.
