Lil Wayne has been hospitalised after being found unconscious in his hotel room in Chicago.
He had to cancel last night’s show at Drais Beachclub in Las Vegas as a result of his hospitalisation, which stems from his ongoing battle with epilepsy.
Wayne – whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr – suffered another seizure while he was in hospital.
TMZ reports that his team tried to have him discharged so he could make his Sunday night show, but doctor’s advised against it.
Wayne suffers epilepsy when he flies, and the seizures have affected him for many years.
This isn’t the first time he has had to cancel his shows due to ill health, just last year he had to cancel another show in Vegas as a result of his epilepsy.
A few months before that event, his plane had to make two emergency landings after he had a series of seizures on the aircraft.
There is no word on his current condition, though it is thought that he is currently resting.
