Louis Tomlinson’s mum, Johannah Deakin, has posted a tribute to One Direction fans one week after losing her long battle with leukaemia.

Her widow Dan shared three touching tweets on Johannah’s Twitter account thanking Louis Tomlinson’s fans for their support of him and his career.

The tweets read:

Hi, it’s Dan. Johannah asked for me to send this afterwards.
She wanted to thank you all, and to let you know that you have been amazing right from the start.

You changed Louis’ life, but also her life. Your support now is as strong if not stronger than ever.
So from Johannah, one last time, thank you for everything xxx…

The mum-of-seven passed away at Sheffield’s Royal Hallamshire Hospital aged just 43.

Her powerful message of support for her son’s fans shows she was dedicated to her children right up to the end and beyond.

It’s hard to imagine how incredible it must be for a parent to see their child rise to such One Direction levels of fame and adoration.

My gorgeous son ❤️
