Warning: This story contains distressing images.

A man who was shot and killed in a strip club may have unintentionally streamed his own murder online.

Marvin Douglass Lancaster III was killed at Club Rayne in Tampa, Florida in the early hours of Saturday morning, according to Tampa Police and a grisly video of the 21-year-old’s live Periscope stream has emerged which may show his last moments, the Mirror reports.

The video, which some may find disturbing, shows exotic dancers moving to the music before one tells him to stop fighting. Soon after, shots are heard and the camera falls to the floor.

In total, eight people were shot with Lancaster’s injuries proving fatal.

The Tampa Police Department claims they haven’t confirmed whether the video actually belongs to Lancaster and that they’re now following up whatever leads they can.

Steve Hegarty said:

We’ve had a lot of leads to follow up on,” but they haven’t confirmed that the online feed belonged to the deceased.

We look at every bit of evidence that we can and we are well aware that somebody was using Periscope, which is a way to do social media live.

We’re looking at everything that we can.
