A man accused of murdering and dismembering a woman he met on Tinder, slashed his own throat during his trial on Monday.
Aubrey Trail, 52, was appearing at Saline County Courthouse accused of killing 24-year-old Sydney Loofe, when he is said to have stood up and shouted ‘Baily is innocent and I curse you all,’ before attempting to cut this own throat, SF Gate reported.
Bailey Boswell, 25, who Trail referred to in his declaration, is his girlfriend and is also accused of the murder of Sydney Loofe.
According to KOLN, Trail was put in an ambulance and taken to hospital. At first, the extent of his injuries were unknown, but his attorneys later revealed his injuries weren’t serious but he did require stitches.
In a video posted to Twitter, you can hear Trail shouting ‘Bailey is innocent,’ before security rush over to Trail as he falls out his wheelchair.

We are unsure of what he used to stab himself but he “should appear in court in handcuffs for the rest of the trial.
Both Trail and Boswell are on trial for the murder of Sydney Loofe, a 24-year-old woman who the couple are believed to have met on Tinder. Loofe was last seen on November 15, 2017 – the same day she had arranged to meet the couple.
SF Gate reported that Trail’s attorney Joe Murray said the pair accidentally killed Loofe as all three of them engaged in a consensual sexual fantasy. However, prosecutors say the couple killed her then ‘used a hacksaw and wire snips to dismember and dispose of her body.’
The 24-year-old’s remains were found in rubbish bags in rural Nebraska according to KOLN.
According to KEVT, the trial will continue on 9am on Tuesday, and Trail will be in handcuffs for the remainder of said trial.
