InstagramA video which has recently gone viral showing an unnamed man repeatedly punching a terrified dog has sparked outrage across the globe.
The video, which is believed to have been filmed in Iraq or Iran, shows the man seated at the driving seat of a car, where he strikes the mute dog over and over again with devastating blows.
After the vid went viral, countless people on social media have been desperate to track down the man to make him pay for his sickening actions.
One of those who called out the video was none other than British comedian Ricky Gervais.
I'm hearing reports that those dog torturing cunts have been arrested.

In what appears to be a now deleted tweet, Gervais wrote:
Who are these dirty, sub-human c**ts?. Surely someone knows? This video is f*cking horrible by the way and shows a beautiful dog being hurt, in case you don’t want to watch.
#ThereIsNoExcuseForAnimalAbuse EVER!!
He then tweeted:
I’m hearing reports that those dog torturing c*nts have been arrested.
InstagramNow it has been reported by numerous news outlets that the man has indeed been found and arrested for animal abuse, although these claims are still unconfirmed.
Other tweets are claiming that not only was the man arrested but that was he badly beaten up before so too.
I accidentally watched it yesterday and have since read that the scum who beat the dog have been arrested but unfortunately the poor furbaby died due to its injuries.

They were found and arrested. Some people beat the shit out of them before turning them in. Sadly they killed the dog first

Numerous Twitter users condemned the sickening footage with some even claiming the footage made them feel like they were ‘going to throw up’.
However tragically, no matter what the price to pay is for the sickening abuse the man in question inflicted, the dog is reported to have died as a direct result of the injuries received.
Recently in a similar case, a Polish national, Radoslaw Czerkawski, was convicted of abusing a pit bull cross called Kiya referred to as Puppy Doe by local media.
PACzerkawski was arrested and sentenced to ‘eight to 10 years’ behind bars on Tuesday March 27 in Massachusetts.
The 37-year-old was found guilty of the offence nearly five years after Puppy Doe was found abandoned, leading to tears of joy in the courtroom.
Not only was he jailed, but he was also sentenced to two years’ probation, prohibited from owning or coming into contact with any animals, and banned from volunteering at animal shelters, CBS Boston report.

Immigration officials said they will deport Czerkawski once he completes his sentences, and have lodged a detainer for him upon his release, according to CBS New York.
Czerkawski was found guilty of torturing and abandoning Puppy Doe, but was cleared of lying to police about who was responsible for the abuse.
The case received widespread attention when the one-year-old dog was found on a playground in Quincy in August 2013 with skull, spine and rib fractures, a stab wound to the right eye and a split tongue. Tragically Puppy Doe died shortly afterwards.
There definitely needs to be tougher laws in place for animal abuse.
