Chelan County Department of CorrectionsIf you think you’re having a bad day, a man in Washington shot himself in the testicle while smuggling drugs in his anus. And let’s face it, it doesn’t get much worse than that.
Cameron Jeffrey Wilson, 27, was carrying a pistol in the front pocket of his trousers when the firearm accidentally went off, piercing his groin and thigh Wenatchee World News reports. The incident took place in his apartment in Cashmere, Washington.
The 27-year-old, who already has 13 convictions under his belt, allegedly told his girlfriend to hide the gun at a friend’s house before they headed to Wenatchee city hospital to see to his injuries.
GettyHowever, things went from bad to worse for the unlucky felon, when a balloon of marijuana slipped out of his anus while a doctor was operating on the gunshot wound, court reports have revealed.
What a terrible day for Wilson, you might say. But alas, it didn’t get any better for the criminal when police arrived at the hospital on April 5. They also discovered a bag of meth in the blood-stained jeans worn by him when the incident took place.
A warrant for the man’s arrest was issued, and Wilson later handed himself in to police on April 18.
While being processed at the Chelan County Regional Justice Centre, cops discovered yet another balloon of marijuana. It slipped out of his anus during a strip search, proving this fella just does not give up.
While in jail, the convict is said to have called his girlfriend several times, asking her not to cooperate with police in their investigation. Unbeknown to him, police were listening in on all the calls.
PixabayWilson was charged with possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of meth, possession of a controlled substance in a correctional facility and four counts of tampering with a witness.
He’s being held on $110,000 bail (around £87,000) and is due to appear in court on June, 18.
Wilson’s case isn’t too dissimilar to that of David Walker, who accidentally shot himself in the testicles after drinking 15 pints in a south Yorkshire pub in 2004.
While appearing in Sheffield Crown Court, it was heard how a sawn off shotgun had been stuffed down Walker’s trousers when the incident happened. He was handed a statutory five-year sentence for carrying a gun in the UK, The Telegraph reports.
