wusa9A public meeting in the U.S to discuss the building of a mosque descended into chaos as a man berated a Muslim speaker.
Civil engineer by trade, Samer Shalaby, was speaking to residents of Fredericksburg, Virginia about the possibility of building a new mosque – as they have outgrown their current building.
wusa9During his talk, an angered member of the audience began to shout at him, saying: “All Muslims are terrorists. I’ll do everything in my power to make sure that does not happen.”
His disgraceful remarks were received with cheers and claps by the crowd and filmed by a member of the meeting.
He continued: “We don’t want it because you are terrorists. Every one of you are terrorists. I don’t care what you say. You can smile at me. You can say whatever you want, but every Muslim is a terrorist.”

A local Sheriff’s deputy was called to the scene to break up the meeting after the barrage of abuse showed no sign of stopping.
Mr Shalaby told wusa9: “It just kept getting worse and worse. People were pointing fingers and waving arms.”
