Video emerged yesterday of a random guy grabbing a waitress’s bum only for her to throw him to the floor by the scruff of his neck.
21-year-old Emelia Holden was on shift at Vinnie Van Go-Go’s in Savannah, Georgia when the man strolled past and squeezed her behind.
In shocking vivid CCTV footage, Holden can be seen acting on her feet, dragging the vile good-for-nothing and throwing him against a wall.
Police were called to the scene and immediately arrested the man after viewing the alarming CCTV footage.
The incident took place just before 11pm on Saturday June 30. Following two nights in the slammer, the Floridian was released on Monday July 2.
Today, we can put a face to the disgrace. 31-year-old Ryan Cherwinski is the culprit who groped Holden’s rear.
A Palm Bay, Florida, resident, he is also a father to infant twin girls and is in a long term relationship with their mother.
Cherwinski is now facing criminal charges 11 years into his relationship thanks to his despicable actions, according to reports.
Holden said of the experience as per the MailOnline:
I just did what I felt was best. I took the guy down and had my co-workers call the police.
As soon as the cops saw the CCTV footage, they immediately arrested the man. He sat in jail until Monday so in my opinion, he got what he deserved.’
Holden had a message for other women who suffer sexual assault in the workplace.
All that I want from my experiences is for women to know that it’s okay to stand up for yourself.
You have every right to wear what you want and you most certainly have every right to defend yourself.
Social media users are in full support of Holden, with one writing:
She handed him two checks. The second one was a reality check.
Another said:
Funny how in most jobs as a waitress we would lose our job if we reacted like this, or even just warned the customer not to do it again. Because the customer is always right, yeah?
A third added:
She was sexually assaulted! She had every right to defend herself and it looked like the guy went after her to hit her after she walked away, but she got him first, serves him right! It shouldn’t be called “waitress attacks man” it should be called “pervert gets what he deserves” and also she should be the one that everyone ran to. Who cares if he was a customer.
Cherwinski spent two nights in jail before being released on July 2 on $2,500 bail. He has been charged with sexual battery.
Holden has since used her viral fame for good by raising money for cat shelters.
‘Recently a video of me went viral and I’ve been getting a lot of attention for it,’ she writes on the GoFundMe page. ‘I’d like to take this opportunity to give back to something that means a great deal to me, CATS!
