Two would-be robbers lost an impromptu game of swordy-swordy big time, when it turned out the shop owner they were trying to rob had a much larger weapon.

They were trying to rob a corner store in Pittsburgh with a machete, only to find out that the store clerk had an even bigger sword than them – a massive, full-length scimitar.

The two robbers entered the store and ran behind the counter, demanding money.

The store owner then grabbed the scimitar and chased them out the store. One of them tried to grab a few shirts on his way out, but accidently dropped them when he ran into his partner in crime.

The shop owner’s brother told WPZI News:

[The clerk] had a sword, so he just removed the sword and attacked him.

Then when he hit the sword that the dude had in his hand – my brother hit the sword – he ran away.

That’s not a sword, this is a sword.
