A man may lose his genitals – yes, you heard – after taking part in a bull-run event in Peru.

He is among 12 people severely injured at the traditional Jala Toro event in the city of Huancavelica.

Medics have said the young man, who had reportedly been drinking, was gored in the groin and his genitals may be ‘damaged beyond repair’, according to CEN,

Jala Toro is one of several similar events worldwide that sees bulls run through town streets, most famously at Pamplona in Spain, pursuing young men who are trying to show off and antagonise the poor animals.

A video thought to be of the man receiving the life-changing injury shows a bull with three spears sticking out of it, goring a the man and flinging him in the air by his groin. Another youth was gored in the eye.

Sounds fun…

Festival organisers admitted they expect to see even more injuries over the course of this year’s annual event.

Alternatively people could not deliberately piss off an angry bull and maybe avoid hospital altogether.
