Margot Robbie is nothing if not a chameleon.
She has dedicated her acting prowess to a number of diverse roles, from playing the badass Brooklyn wife of Jordan Belfort in The Wolf of Wall Street to the sociopathic doctor, Harley Quinn, in the much-maligned Suicide Squad, not to mention her portrayal of Tonya Harding in the film biopic of the figure skater and her alleged involvement in the attack on her teammate, Nancy Kerrigan.
But now, Robbie turns her sights to a role a little more regal in stature: Queen Elizabeth I in the upcoming epic, Mary Queen of Scots.
The Australian 27-year-old has undergone yet another incredible transformation to play the red-haired, pale-skinned Queen of yesteryear.
She has been spotted on set in London for the new role and you can see the sneak peak below:
The Internet has praised her accordingly:
Margot is set to follow in the footsteps of acting royalty Judi Dench, Helen Mirren, Miranda Richardson and Cate Blanchett, who have all played the Virgin Queen.
She too has donned the traditional Tudor garb including a corset, jacket and wide buckled skirt for her new role, even appearing to have applied a severe, prosthetic nose. She really nose how to get into character.
Margot was voted Esquire‘s Sexiest Woman Alive for 2017.
Maybe this role will earn her a much-deserved acting accolade too.
