Whether you love him, loathe him, or are simply intrigued by him, Marilyn Manson has been a big part of the music industry for nearly 25 years.
Manson, real name Brian Hugh Warner, has not only gained a reputation for his music, but his image, girlfriends and live shows have all been subject of media attention – sometimes not in a flattering way, and that’s to put it mildly.
I won’t mention the myth we ALL heard at school involving Manson and him having his ribs removed…
Anyway, it turns out, the Antichrist superstar was involved in an accident at his recent concert in New York City.
The 48-year-old rocker’s show came to an abrupt halt when two gigantic props came crashing down on him.
And not just any old props – two huge guns – I wonder what message he was trying to portray there!
According to TMZ, Manson was about an hour into his show at the Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom – performing his hit cover ‘Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)‘ – when the stage prop fell on top of him.
The incident reportedly caused quite some damage to Manson and the emergency services had to be called out to the venue.
According to the celebrity gossip site, it’s said to have taken several minutes for emergency workers to get Manson out from under the prop, but the videos don’t look as if it was quite so long.
Soon after, Manson was put on a stretcher and taken to hospital.
The rest of the show was cancelled but fans who were there quickly shared the footage on social media, albeit pretty grainy.
There’s been no official word as yet on the injuries sustained to the rocker – but fingers crossed he’s ok!
