While devoted Friends fans may be able to quote the show word for word, Matthew Perry has admitted that he ‘doesn’t remember three years’ of filming the hit show because he was so ‘out of it’.

Perry was talking on Chris Evans’ Radio 2 Breakfast Show when fellow guest James Nesbitt asked him which episode of the American comedy was his least favourite.

He candidly revealed to listeners:

I don’t remember three years of it, so none of those. I was a little bit out of it at the time. Somewhere between seasons three and six.

Perry entered rehab several times, once for a Vicodin addiction and again in 2001 for addiction to opioids, amphetamines and alcohol.

At his worst, the actor was drinking two pints of vodka a day and swallowing up to 30 tablets, reports the Daily Mail, but he now works with recovering addicts and, in 2013, he opened Perry House, a sober living home situated in his former mansion in Malibu.

In an interview filmed for The Hollywood Reporter, he said:

You can’t have a drug problem for 30 years and then expect to have it be solved in 28 days.

Currently starring in new West End show, The End Of Longing, Perry was of course also asked about the much discussed Friends reunion.

He admits there is a possibility the group will get together for one episode, and told Evans:

I think the actors would actually be open to it, I do. I think we would be open to doing something, some kind of TV special. I don’t know about a movie.

It’s kind of tough because we’ve ended on such a high note that we don’t want to ruin it, so we’d want to be really careful.

He said the group have discussed reuniting over dinner and they always have a good time:

It’s a really good group, there isn’t a jerk in the group and that really saved us for ten years.

So, will they or won’t they?
