Meghan Markle, who got engaged to Prince Harry last month, has revealed her two habits that she wishes to rid herself of in 2018.
The former Suits actress does two things, that are actually very common among the population.
Every single year, the 36-year-old American vows to stop biting her nails and stop swearing, but she struggles to keep them.
The Duchess-to-be wrote on her defunct lifestyle blog The Tig:
Stop biting my nails. Stop swearing. These make my New Year’s resolution list nearly (AKA actually every) single year.
The swearing comes in lulls triggered by being overworked or feeling mighty cheeky after a couple drinks.
And when it comes to the biting of the nails – well, it still happens with a turbulent flight or a stressful day.
It’s unladylike. But then again, so is the swearing. Dammit.
Aside from wanting to quit those two habits, Meghan Markle also wants to take up French and run a marathon.
These resolutions were posted on January 1, 2016, before she got together with Harry.
The Tig was a successful lifestyle blog written by Markle, but after three years she stopped writing.
Her farewell message to fans of her blog read:
To all my Tig friends
After close to three beautiful years on this adventure with you, it’s time to say goodbye to The Tig. What began as a passion project (my little engine that could) evolved into an amazing community of inspiration, support, fun and frivolity.
You’ve made my days brighter and filled this experience with so much joy. Keep finding those Tig moments of discovery, keep laughing and taking risks, and keep being “the change you wish to see in the world.
Above all, don’t ever forget your worth – as I’ve told you time and time again: you, my sweet friend, you are enough.
Thank you for everything.
They’re not great habits, but they’re not the worst someone could have.
I wonder if she managed to achieve any of them this year.
