Meghan Markle Reveals How She And Prince Harry Actually Met

Since the announcement of their romance last year, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been the subject of much speculation.

Their relationship is shrouded in mystery, and given the prince’s tenuous relationship with the media, it’s likely to stay that way for as long as they want it to.

Slowly, though, we’re beginning to get more and more insight into the royal world.

And in an interview with Vanity Fair, Meghan has revealed more details about their relationship, including how they met.

According to Markle, they met through friends in July 2016, which we already know was during the time that Prince Harry was in Toronto promoting the Invictus Games.

Markle lives in Toronto, where she shoots her scenes as Rachel Zane in hit legal drama Suits.

The Invictus Games are a series of sports events designed for injured war veterans, a cause which is championed by Harry since his departure from the Army a few years ago.

Speaking on the secrecy in their relationship, Meghan told Vanity Fair:

We’re a couple, we’re in love. I’m sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time.

This is for us. It’s part of what makes it so special, that it’s just ours. But we’re happy. Personally, I love a great love story.

The couple have just returned from a stint in Botswana, away from the prying eyes of the camera and pretty much all online interaction.

Harry first went to Botswana after the death of his mother Diana, and has previously described it as his place of solace.

With regard to whether the big question will get be popped any time soon, it really is anybody’s guess.

But one expert thinks that The Queen definitely won’t be standing in the way of the union, despite many traditions that would prohibit the two tying the knot.

Sally Bedell Smith, who has written biographies of Queen Elizabeth, Princess Diana, and Prince Charles, said:

The Queen is remarkably open-minded and she’s very tolerant. William was allowed to cohabit with Kate, even though she’s the daughter of a very middle-class family.

She continued:

The Queen just looked at who Kate was and that she was in love with her grandson, and that she knew how to conduct herself with dignity and discretion, and that was the most important thing.

I would imagine that the Queen’s view of this would be: if they’re in love and they’re well suited, then they should proceed.

Although there are a few weird rules Meghan will have to abide if she’s to become a member of the family.

Until that time, the rest is speculation, but one things for sure, Meghan Markle isn’t going anywhere any time soon.
