The marriage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is the news everybody is talking about after the announcement earlier today.
Questions are already being asked about a potential public holiday, there is speculation about just what Meghan will be wearing for the official announcement photo call, and folks everywhere are picturing just what Prince Harry‘s stag do will look like.
Among those questions is the conundrum of just what title Meghan will take on after the couple tie the knot.
Of course, Kate took on the title of Duchess of Cambridge after she wed Prince William.
Meghan won’t become a princess, contrary to popular opinion, as the title is reserved for women who are born into the Royal Family.
More likely, however, is the possibility that Prince Harry and Meghan will be awarded a dukedom as a token to celebrate the wedding.

Vogue has predicted the newlyweds will be dubbed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex after their nuptials are complete.
This has been speculated as a likely title as it hasn’t been handed to a couple in the family since 1843.
A potential bump in the road could be the fact that Meghan, an actress and humanitarian, is a divorcee.
Obviously, this isn’t the first divorcee within the royal family, with both Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles both getting divorced before they got married.
So many reasons to celebrate Prince Harry & Megan Markle, particularly the fact that it spectacularly upends & trolls the racist/white nationalist rhetoric polluting our country over the last year #royalwedding pic.twitter.com/80IXBKMwjq

The ‘prince’ and ‘princess’ title is reserved for those who are born into the Royal Family, but by convention they may be referred to by their partner’s name.
For example, in an archaic tradition, Kate can be referred to as Princess William, so Meghan will be officially referred to as Princess Henry – Henry is Harry’s real name.
Prince Harry is currently fifth in line to the throne, but will slide down the ladder to sixth after Will and Kate welcome their third child.
The announcement of the engagement was made this morning on Twitter.

The rumour mill started working overtime once again after Ms Markle was spotted last week in west London hitting the designer shops of Chelsea, ABC News reported.
The 36-year-old actress was previously married to Trever Engelson whom she divorced in August 2013.
Meghan is best known for her role as Rachel Zane in legal drama Suits.
Good luck to them, and a hearty thank you from the citizens of Britain who are no doubt marking their calendars for an extra day off work in the new year!
