YouTube streamer CaptainSparklez has just shelled out the big bucks for a swank new house on the Sunset Strip in the Hollywood Hills.
According to Variety, The 23-year-old streamer snapped up the mansion for an eye-watering £2.9million, proving once and for all that the YouTube money is pretty legit. CaptainSparklez – whose real name is Jordan Maron – currently has 8.8million subscribers on YouTube and millions of views on streaming platform Twitch.
The mansion has an infinity pool, a sunken wet-bar, an outdoor fire and an incredible view. It’s also relatively close to where Minecraft’s creator Markus ‘Notch’ Perssun lives. Kind of strange to think that somebody has become as rich and famous playing a video game, as the person who originally made it. Deep.
Mark is the Gaming Editor for UNILAD. Having grown up a gaming addict, he’s been deeply entrenched in culture and spends time away from work playing as much as possible. Mark studied music at University and found a love for journalism through going to local gigs and writing about them for local and national publications.
