Welcome to the world of lethal technology.
The Ministry of Defence has just unveiled the latest military gadgets that will be coming to the battlefield.

The equipment, designed to give our soldiers the edge in the field, will be developed in a scheme called Future Soldier Vision, expected to be ready by 2020.
It includes smart armour that’s both tough and light, a Google Glass-style headset that projects real time battle information onto the goggles while beaming video back to base, as well as a smart watch that reads soldiers’ vital signs, The Mirror reports.

Soldiers will be able to gather data about their environment and detect threats using an array of sensors.
On top of that, the SA80 assault rifle will be updated so soldiers can share data and coordinate their fire.

Ross Jones from the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory said:
The Future Soldier Vision concept provides the MOD and industry with an aim point for what the soldier could look like a decade from now.
It provides a platform to challenge what this future could be and how industry and academia could help the MOD to make it a reality.
