As is often the case with MMA, the main event at Bellator 170 was outshone in brutality by the fight between Paul Daley and Brennan Ward.

With Tito Ortiz and Chael Sonnen taking all the limelight in the Octagon, Daley still made his presence known with a brutal KO courtesy of a flying knee to his opponent’s face.

Succeeding the KO was one of the most confident walk-offs in history.

After all, Daley isn’t known for being a shy and retiring wallflower.

The veteran welterweight is a premier KO artist in MMA and this flying knee marked the 39th win in the 33-year-old’s career. But he reached notoriety for his bullish behaviour.

After losing a decision to Josh Koscheck at UFC 113, Daley sucker punched his opponent which led Dana White to banning him from the UFC, saying he would never fight for the promotion again.

It seems this hasn’t hampered Daley’s skill and athletic flair, as evidenced by his performance at Bellator 170.

But, on the other hand, Daley’s professional reputation seems to have suffered about as much damage as Ward’s face.
