A model had her video shoot on a Miami beach interrupted in dramatic fashion recently, when a group of illegal immigrants ran ashore from a nearby boat.
Criminal groups often drop off migrants and drugs along the coastline of Florida, as it’s so long the authorities struggle to police it all.
The person filming, Ekaterina Juskowski, who herself migrated to America from Russia, had something positive to say about the situation:
Witnessing people starting their life anew by jumping off the boat and running into the city made my personal struggle seem rather small. As controversial as the problem of illegal immigration can be for many of us, it is important to remember that people come here in search of the better life, and it comes at a very high price of great courage, hard work, and loneliness.
I don’t think the US government will be so compassionate.
