If you’ve mostly enjoyed previous Assassin’s Creed games, but felt like you weren’t getting enough cockney for your cash, then the new story trailer for Syndicate is gonna get you ‘Sheffield (United)’. Apparently that means excited in rhyming slang. Nah, me either.
Playing as the Frye twins Jacob and Evie, it’s your job to take down the seedy criminal underbelly of Victorian London in 1868, using nothing but your wits and your extensive training as a master assassin to aid you.
The man with a moustache so dandy he could only ever be rotten, Crawford Starrick, is the Templar leader who uses his seven henchmen (and a henchwoman) to rule over London’s various amenities – sort of like a Victorian Phil Mitchell. It’s up to the plucky Frye twins to do battle with ye olde gangsters and take back the city.
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate has a point to prove after the veritable catastrophe that was Unity, and will be released on October 23 on Playstation 4 and Xbox One with a PC version on November 19.
