An accountant in South Africa was out with a few friends, but when he decided to head home for the night, he was jumped by two men and threatened with a large knife.
Fortunately for the accountant, Nathan Wood, he wasn’t the one who was going to end up worst off from the situation. He also wasn’t the one who was going to be shamed on social media for it.
How so? Well, because when the two men followed him down an alleyway and threatened him, he thought fast and fought back, knocking his attacker out with a single punch.
Incredibly, he then stopped to take a selfie with his downed would-be attacker, before putting him in the recovery position, News24 reports.
So I know one mugger in Stellenbosch who isn’t too thrilled about his choice of victim at 4am.

Speaking about the incident, 27-year-old Nathan Wood, said:
The main culprit tried to convince me it was in my best interest by brandishing a fairly large dagger and holding it to my throat. They then asked for my wallet and cellphone. I was like, ‘Absolutely not. These are my possessions and I am not willing to share.’
I then convinced the mugger that it was not in his best interest by knocking him unconscious with a well-timed punch. His friend then dashed off.
At the time, the adrenaline was rushing, but then I was also thinking about the guy’s circumstances and why he is robbing.
I dragged him out the street, took his jacket off and put it under his head. I turned him onto his side in the recovery position. I wanted to make sure he was okay. People are fragile, I felt remorse.
The incident took place in an alleyway outside a nightclub in the university town of Stellenbosch, South Africa.
Hopefully, Wood’s doing okay now and not too shaken up after the whole thing.
