Reports are coming in of multiple causalities following a shooting at the Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida, US.
Police in Parkland, Florida are currently responding to reports of an active gunman at the local high school.
A report from a local Fox News affiliate claims to have seen multiple people being treated for injuries outside the school.
Furthermore, a helicopter video has shown armed police at the building’s perimeter.
A tweet from the Coral Springs Police department has warned the students and faculty members:
Remain barricaded inside until police reach you.
According to CBS:
There’s a multi-casualty incident, according to law enforcement officials, but we do not know exactly what that means and how many people have been injured.

Speaking to ABC, a Stoneman Douglas High School student said:
I heard what sounded like a garbage truck like banging.
Then also I hear, ‘Boom, boom, boom.’ I hear screaming everywhere. I just got underneath my teacher’s desk.
A Tweet from the local public school stated:
Today, close to Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School’s dismissal, students and staff heard what sounded like gunfire.
The school immediately went on lockdown but is now dismissing students. We are receiving reports of possible multiple injuries.
President Donald Trump has already spoken to Florida’s Governor, Rick Scott, who tweeted:
