Between the aggressive inquiries as to why you’ve not called in a couple of days, the unnecessarily long descriptions of what your mother did that day, and the photos she sends of people you don’t know, it can get pretty hilarious.
But the funniest moments can be when your mum quite plainly just don’t understand what you’re trying to say – and this guy knows just how out of hand it can get.
Under the delightful username SphincterMan410, he posted his story to Reddit, and it’s ridiculous:
In short, this guy texted his mum while in school about a girl who was doing a presentation in front of the class. Both him and his mum didn’t particularly like her, so they started making fun of her. After his mum delivered a pretty sick burn, he replied with ‘shots fired’ – which is, as we all know, the equivalent of ‘ohhhhh burn!’
After not checking his phone for five minutes, SphincterMan410 realised he had quite a few missed text messages and phone calls.
He said: “I checked my texts and saw my Mom freaking out asking if I was ok and that she had called the cops.”
Turns out the whole police force was ready to head to his school, which was now on lockdown.
After a trip to the principal’s office, they decided to let him cross the stage for graduation but gave him an in-school suspension for phone violation on his last day of school.
Sounds like a fucking nightmare.
