Sometimes I write stories which leave me completely confused wondering what on Earth has happened.

And this is one of them as a mortified mum mistakenly sent her five-year-old son to his school’s nativity play with a blow-up sheep sex doll.

Yes, you read that right and yes, I too am left with many, many questions to ask.

46-year-old mum of two Helen Cox from Alloa, Scotland, decided to shop online for a fancy dress costume for her son Alfie’s nativity play.

Seeing a shepherd costume advertised on Amazon for only £16.99, Helen was even more delighted when she realised the product came with its very own blow-up sheep to complete the look.

However, when Alfie returned home from school telling his mum a teacher told him to take the sheep home, Helen was puzzled.

Her confusion only grew when upon blowing up the sheep she found it had red lips, eyelashes and best of all, a huge hole in its bottom.

Doing some research, Helen found the same sheep advertised on Amazon as a ‘naughty inflatable sheep doll with backdoor pleasure hole ‘perfect for a gag gift’.

Elsewhere it was being sold as a ‘stag night bonkin’ sheep’ because apparently that is a thing people want in their lives.

Essentially the sheep sex doll wasn’t exactly appropriate for a school nativity play but that didn’t stop Alfie from wanting to keep it.

When Helen was blowing up the doll before discovering its true meaning in life, she tried to think of a way to explain to Alfie why he couldn’t play with it.

She said:

It took forever to blow up – I was stood there blowing and blowing until the air reached its legs.

I hurriedly popped the stopper back in so it wouldn’t deflate and suddenly spotted the huge hole in the bum. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.

I told him, ‘you can’t have this sheep Alfie’ but he kept asking why so I had to make up a reason.

I told him it didn’t look like a proper sheep because it had a moustache, red lipstick and a bow on its head, but he still wanted to play with it. I couldn’t think of any more reasons why not.

And when it came to explaining the hole, Helen told him it was ‘for the sheep’s toilet paper’.

Ermmmmmm…

Because this is a festive story, in the spirit of Christmas being the gift that keeps on giving, Helen is now trying to find a way to secretly steal it away from Alfie who loves playing with it.

She said:

He’s probably in his room right now stuffing Lego in the hole.

I just can’t believe it. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry! How am I going to explain this to his teachers?

I have no idea if they’ve seen it was a sex toy and that’s why they sent it home – I’m mortified!

To be honest Helen, if Alfie is enjoying playing with his new favourite toy innocently why take that joy away from him?
